Reservations & Waitlist
While walk-ins are welcome, class sizes are limited. We highly recommend reserving classes online in order to guarantee your spot in class. Reservations are studio specific and can be made up to 2 weeks in advance. Classes fill up quickly, but spaces will open up as clients reschedule. If you’d like to attend a class that is full, please put yourself on the waitlist. As soon as a spot opens up in class, you will receive an email or text notification. Please reply to the message immediately as to whether you can attend or not. Your spot in class is not guaranteed until you confirm. When you arrive at the studio, please check-in at the front desk. Reservations will be honored only up to the start of class. If you do not arrive prior to the start of class, your reservation will be given away to anyone on the waitlist.
Cancellations & No-shows
If you cannot attend class, cancel your class online or email the studio at least 2 hours before class to avoid being charged a no-show fee (childcare included). No-show fees consist of $10 for class membership holders. Class pack and single class holders will lose 1 class off their package. If you do not cancel your childcare spot within two hours of service, you will be charged $5 per child or lose 1 from your childcare pack.
Late Arrival to Class
First time students may not enter a class late.
Arriving 10 minutes early is highly recommended. Returning students may enter an ongoing mixed level class up to 10 minutes late and bar express class up to 5 minutes late.
Upon entering class late, lift your knees 30 times to warm up before joining in.
Please wear exercise pants that cover the knees, a top that covers the midriff, and socks that cover the entire foot.
Students may bring their own socks from home or purchase socks with sticky grips at the studio. You will not be allowed to attend class without them.
Please do not bring glass or uncapped drinks into the exercise studio. Capped water bottles are allowed. Please bring plain water only, help us protect the carpet!
Cell phones are not allowed into the exercise studio. We understand that you might be expecting an important call, please ask the front desk staff to keep your phone for you during class with instructions. Otherwise, store it in the lockers with the rest of your belongings.
Please do not chew gum in the exercise studio. We would not want you to choke or get it tangled in your hair or the carpet.
Disruptive students may be asked to leave. Please be respectful of fellow students and your instructor.
First-time students who are pregnant must do the Pregnancy Workout DVD (also available on Bar Online). A minimum of 5 DVD sessions must be taken prior to joining the regular class.
New and continuing pregnant students must provide the front desk with a note from their doctor allowing them to take strengthening and stretching classes.
Pregnant students can opt to take the first half of the class (which focuses on the arms and legs) for half price.
Refer to Pregnant/Post Natal info on barmethod.com for detailed modification information.
No clients are admitted before they reach 14 years of age. Students under the age of 18 need guardian approval. Parents/guardians, please contact the studio prior to registering your child for class.
Illness & Injuries
Please notify front desk staff and instructors of any illness or injury that may impact your ability to exercise. In some cases, a doctor’s note may be required to allow you to take class.
Just a cold? Please stay home, rest, and avoid spreading the virus to others.
Five childcare spaces are available on a first come first serve basis.
Parents who bring children under age 10 must place them in the childcare room during class. Children may not play or climb on the stall bars and other exercise equipment. Children are not allowed to wait in the lobby area unattended at any time.
You can make reservations for childcare either by phone, online, or in person up to 2 weeks in advance. When reserving by phone, please indicate your name, the time of the class you plan to attend, and the name and age of your child. Childcare costs $5 per child (childcare packages available) and is available during class times indicated on schedule.
If your child is ill, please keep him/her home so our other guests stay healthy!
